A Study of Rietveld

This study of Gerrit Rietveld’s End Table was an exploration of visual communication via instruction manuals.  We were given Rietveld’s original guide, including the original metric units.  The challenge was to convert the measurements to standard imperial units for a full scale and 1:6 scale model. The full scale End Table was constructed as a team of 3, which strengthened my team working skills.  We were given full creative freedom in terms of color selection, which gave Rietveld’s 1923 design a contemporary twist.
